Biography

I have been around churches my entire life.  I was born during the last year of my dad’s time at seminary.  (Which makes me a PK so watch out.)  Upon graduation, dad became the Senior Pastor of Baylor Baptist Church in Ennis, Texas.  My family lived there for 10 years until we moved to Cabot, Arkansas where my parents still live.

I became a Christ Follower at the age of 8.  One night, I felt an overwhelming desire to ask my parents about Jesus and what He had done in my life.  I prayed to receive Christ on the top bunk of my and my brother’s bunk bed.  I still remember seeing my father’s joy as he hugged me that night as a new creation in Christ.

I struggled making my parents’ relationship with Christ my relationship with Christ.  It was not until the summer between my first and second freshman years at Baylor University that God captured my heart through worship and music.  I began to pursue a lifetime of ministry in the local church.  My heart is to create worship environments and musical experiences that mature Christians, skeptics, or new believers can all experience God’s presence in a powerful way.

Over the past 12 months, I have learned more about myself and how God made me than at any other time of my life.  He has confirmed my passion for worship leading.  I am learning about the many ways God can move and how to let go and allow Him to lead me.

I have a beautiful wife and two great kids.  I enjoy spending time with them, supporting their musical endeavors, reading books together, attending sporting events, musicals and concerts with my wife, and trying to relax whenever possible.
